Hello, my name is Zachary Holbrook, and one day I will be dead. After I die, I'll be in the presence of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who is a much better storyteller than I am. (If you want to read what He wrote, look at the Bible, the whole entire universe, and all of history). Once there, I'll probably look back on everything I wrote on Earth and laugh at how terrible it is. Until then, I'll keep writing, hopefully to the glory of God, but also because it's fun.
Hopefully, I won't die soon, because I'm comparatively young. This is of interest to anyone who reads my work, as my limited life experience means that the ideas present therein, to a certain extent, are subject to change. Although I have not lived long, I have already changed my mind on various subjects. I expect to change my mind again as I continue to grow and learn.
Occasionally, I want to read something, only that thing doesn't exist yet. I try to spare others the agony of being in this dilemma by writing those things that I want to read. Sometimes, this means I write reviews of obscure novels with fan bases far smaller than they deserve. Also, I briefly talk about the content and themes of these stories. My grandest conception is the Domidium, a massive series partially inspired by Brandon Sanderson's cosmere novels. Basically, I wanted to write something like the cosmere, only with explicitly Christian themes. But I can't just copy the cosmere, obviously - I'm trying to write something unique. So I have to do a lot of really detailed world building, which takes a lot of time.
